About Clucking Hill
I paint because creating beauty changed my life.
For years, watercolor was something I squeezed into the corners of a busy, complicated life. Over time, it became something more — a place to rest, heal, experiment, and reconnect with joy. My work is inspired by nature, memory, collected objects, moody colors, and the quiet magic found in everyday life.
I’m drawn to rich teals, earthy olives, glowing golds, stained-glass geometry, and expressive organic shapes. Some pieces are whimsical, some reflective, and some simply exist to create a feeling — calm, wonder, warmth, nostalgia, or hope.
More than anything, I want both my art and my classes to feel welcoming. I believe creativity is for everyone, not just people who already think of themselves as “artists.” My workshops are designed to be relaxed, beginner-friendly spaces where people can gather, create, laugh, and leave with something meaningful they made with their own hands.
And yes, Clucking Hill. Why? Our chicken coop sits at the bottom of a hill that I slide or fall down at least once a year. Instead of using my sometimes colorful vocabulary, I started referring to it as “that clucking hill” and the name stuck. It feels fitting somehow: a little whimsical, a little chaotic, deeply imperfect, and full of life.
This little creative world is still growing, and I’m so glad you’re here.

Upcoming Classes
Currently, we host a group class at 10am on the second Saturday of each month.
Seating is limited to 10 students per session. If a class fills, I will open a second session at 2pm that day.
Please note - the metallic paint doesn’t photograph well - it is actually stunning, and when hung on the wall, will catch the sun beautifully.
June 13: Metallic Monstera
July 11: Tidal Dreams: A Whale Watercolor Workshop
July 11, 10am
Tidal Dreams is a beginner-friendly watercolor workshop inspired by flowing tides, dreamy color palettes, and whimsical whales. Together, we’ll create luminous watercolor whales using layered washes, expressive shapes, and metallic accents for a magical stained-glass effect.
No drawing experience is needed — templates, instruction, and all supplies are included. This relaxed and welcoming class is designed to encourage creativity, connection, and a little bit of wonder. Each painter will have the opportunity to personalize their whale with their own favorite colors and details.
Whether you come with friends or arrive solo, you’ll leave with a finished painting, new watercolor skills, and a creative experience that feels both calming and inspiring
